Každý z nás slávi Vianoce po svojom, pre ľudí sú to tie najkrajšie sviatky v roku. Niekoľko hráčov The Blues prezradilo, ako oni trávia doma Vianoce.

Na Štedrý deň máme večeru, je to pre nás najdôležitejší deň v roku, a o polnoci otvárame darčeky. Jedlo býva z rýb a zeleniny, nechýba samozrejme veľa koláčov.
Darčeky sú rovnaké ako tu, no v Portugalsku sa vždy bohato obdarujeme. Niekedy si ľudia pozývajú do domu viac než 20 ľudí, čo je naozaj veľa. Máme obed s celou rodinou, jedlo nejeme o deň skôr, a je to veľmi príjemný čas v roku.

Pre nás je hlavný deň 24. december, Štedrý deň, kedy máme tradičný obed a Vianočnú večeru s blízkou rodinou, a okolo polnoci otvárame darčeky. My nemáme Santa Clausa, máme Ježiška, ktorý nosí darčeky, ale nikto ho nevidí.
Máme tiež strom, ktorý ale nezdobíme pred Štedrým dňom, zdobíme ho 24. decembra ráno. 25. decembra máme obed v širokom kruhu rodiny. Jeme špeciálne Vianočné koláče, na obed máme šošovicu, niekedy s vajcami, aby to bolo chutnejšie, a na večeru máme Vianočnú polievku, po ktorej nasleduje špeciálny zemiakový šalát. Tradične sa šalát je s kaprom, ale má veľa kostí, takže si môžete pripraviť iné druhy rýb, ktoré obalíte do trojobalu a vypražíte. My budeme mať zrejme lososa a z bravčového alebo teľacieho mäsa si pripravíme rezne.
Futbalová sezóna končí skoro v decembri a jarná príprava začína v januári. Cez Vianoce tu máme veľa snehu, ale zvyčajne tu býva na Štefana exhibičný zápas s ex-hráčmi, celebritami a sponzormi.

Ak hovoríme o Francúzskej Guyane, je to veľmi slávnostný čas. Je to všetko o tom, že ak ste dieťa, premýšľate, aké darčeky dostanete na Štedrý deň. Slávite vonku s množstvom ohňostrojov, celá rodina sa zhromaždí pri peknom veľkom stole s množstvom jedál. Je to pekné obdobie.
Jedná sa o polnoc 24. decembra, rovnako ako v mnoho ďalších krajinách. Tu v Anglicku je to iné, slávia tu 25., ale vo Francúzsku a Francúzskej Guyane jeme 24. ľahké jedlá, deti čakajú na polnoc, kedy začíname oslavovať.
Hlavné jedlo je tradične veľké prasa, o ktoré ste sa celý rok starali a na Vianoce sa s ním lúčite.
Počasie je veľmi teplé, pretože v Južnej Amerike nie je v tomto období zima, takže žiadny sneh.
